Lynda R. Fabbo, DSW, LCSW, CHt

Dr. Fabbo views therapy as a journey taken together. She offers insight, strategies, and skills to help her clients attain the change they seek. She believes coping with strong emotions and moods takes a careful exploration into what is currently happening in our lives and what has happened in our past, and when we can fully realize and understand our experiences, we can process and control our reactions towards them in a healthy way.  She is also a certified Hypnotherapist and a Usui Reiki Master.

Hypnotherapy

Our subconscious protects us by setting up specific ‘parts’ of our personality to deal with trauma or special needs the individual may require.

Hypnotherapy is a technique used to unlock the subconscious and remove problematic behaviors of a psychological nature. When a person voluntarily undergoes hypnosis, they are in a natural state of highly focused attention often associated with relaxation, and heightened suggestibility.   All hypnosis is self-directed and self-controlled, and a hypnotist cannot make you do things against your will.

The most frequent clinical uses of hypnosis include treatment for managing: anxiety, phobias, pain, stress, and grief.  It is also used for breaking bad habits, recalling forgotten experiences, and past life regression.

The number of sessions may vary depending on the goal of the treatment.
